Sunset on US 6
I have a beaver that resides here in spring, geese that land and stay a while in early spring when the low land floods, the woods and the deer, the wild bunnies that play and don't seem to care if I'm around, the many birds that live in or near my home, a wild turkey that visits me. Why in the world would I want to give this up? Where would my horses go or the goats? No way would I ever consider leaving this place when it has so much to offer and makes me happy to get up every morning or go out at night to look above and see the stars. No way would I give up the peace and quiet that I've yearned for all my life. No way would I give up my dreams to some big business clowns that would abuse the land and leave it a wasted dump after they couldn't wring any more money out of it. This is my life's dream and I wouldn't change it for the world. Terri Russell, Union Mills |
